70 new jobs have been announced this morning, for Cork and Dublin.
A US cyber security company Malwarebytes is opening a EMEA headquarters in Cork.
It is creating 50 jobs over the next three years.
The company's founder and CEO Marcin Kleczynski said, “Cork has a deserved reputation as a leading location for technology companies, with a talented workforce and established tech ecosystem, it gives Malwarebytes the opportunity to build a world-class team. We are experiencing remarkable business growth and Cork will play a central role in our European expansion.
In Dublin, Life Scientific, an Irish research and development company specialising in crop protection products, is hiring 20 new staff.
The jobs, based at UCD, are being created as the largest agricultural co-operative in France, InVivo, is acquiring a 50% stake in the company.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, speaking from Paris, said, "this announcement provides a tangible example of the benefits of our plan to support exporting companies. I warmly congratulate Life Scientific and InVivo on their recent alliance and wish them every success for the future.”
