Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli could face action from the Football Association over an Instagram post that he has since deleted.

The Italy international put up an anti-racism post online that read 'Don't be racist! Be like Mario. He's an Italian plumber, created by Japanese people, who speaks English and looks like a Mexican...jumps like a black man and grab coins like a jew'.

Balotelli deleted the post and tweeted an attempted defence of himself:
