Celtic winger Aleksandar Tonev has now formally received notification that he must answer allegations of racism arising from last weekend's Scottish Premiership match against Aberdeen.

The Scottish FA has issued a notice of complaint, accusing him of "excessive misconduct".

The Bulgarian, who is on loan from Aston Villa, has denied aiming racist language towards Aberdeen's Shay Logan.

Tonev has until next Friday to respond.
