Former Clerys workers are demanding a change to the law to ensure what happened to them never happens again.
The workers lost their jobs when the company was liquidated 21 weeks ago.
They want new laws to be introduced that would give at least 30 days of notice for workers before they are made redundant.
The general-secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU), Patricia King, says that Clerys workers are particularly upset coming into what would have been a busy Christmas period.
