Two people have been injured in a gas explosion in Ballinspittle, Co Cork.
Emergency services are at the scene, and the man and woman have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It happened at a cafe in the town just before 11am this morning.
It is understood the pair - who suffered serious burn injuries - were attempting to change a gas cylinder at the time.
Two HSE ambulances and a rapid response unit attended the scene - along with units from the Kinsale and Bandon fire service.
The man and woman were treated on the scene before being taken to Cork University Hospital.
The area has been cordoned off for an investigation.
However, locals are being assured this is an isolated incident.
