An ATM machine in Co Mayo spewed out extra cash to excited shoppers during the week, but Ulster Bank is warning it will be in contact with customers to retrieve the money.
The Irish Daily Mirror reports that card holders walked off with extra funds for Christmas shopping after the ATM in Claremorris started giving out €50 notes instead of €20.
The word soon spread and a queue formed down the street as the machine spat out thousands of euro in a short period.
But the unexpected bonus will nott last, as Ulster Bank says it is aware of the error - which happened on Thursday - and will be in contact with the affected customers.
It is not clear how much money was given out by mistake, or for how long the glitch lasted for.
