In the wake of the Gaelic Players Association’s proposal to restructure the football championship, players and pundits have been reacting around the country.
Off The Ball’s Colm Parkinson joined Ger and Richie on the show’s newsround and gave his thoughts on the re-imagined system.
"I want to be excited about them but I'm not, I think they're trying to please too many people" he said.
"There's too much in it. They haven't reduced the year at all, the season is still going on for eight or nine months.
"I think when the GPA heard the players say they want more games, they took that a little bit more literally than they should have."
The issue of recovery time also came into the discussion and Wooly felt there was just far too much for players to endure without enough rest time.
"The provincials are shoved in between a league and an All-Ireland series, you've no real downtime during the league. You've got one week's rest out of seven."
