Brian O'Donnell's daughter says the banks have 'picked the wrong people' in the legal battle over their former Dublin home.

Blaise and Blake O'Donnell have been speaking about the ongoing case which has seen their parents stay inside Gorse Hill in Killiney, with the support of the Land League, despite a court order directing it could be repossessed.

The brother and sister believe their plight has 'done a lot of good' because the spotlight is now on the wider issue of repossessions around the country.

Blaise says despite how things have developed, they're determined to stand their ground.

"I understand that people aren't going to be too sympathetic.

"We're just trying to do our best, put one foot in front of the other. The bank want us to walk away quietly with your head hung low and lurk out the back door. I'm sorry, we don't believe that we are wrong. We believe that we are right. We are bringing these cases forward and unfortunately, they have picked the wrong people."

Meanwhile, the judge in Bank of Ireland's trespass case against solicitor Brian O'Donnell said he will deliver his judgment this week.

Last week, Mr Justice Brian McGovern deferred his judgment - after hearing arguments from both sides of the legal battle over the Gorse Hill house in Killiney, south Dublin.
