The number waiting for admission to a hospital bed is down more than 100 on figures released yesterday.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) says there are 425 patients waiting today - 319 of whom are on trolleys.
Cork University Hospital has the largest number waiting, at 40, while Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has 39.

University Hospital Limerick has 37 patients waiting for beds, while University Hospital Galway has 29.
And Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore stands at 25.
