The Justice Minister says she's confident emergency beds will be provided for homeless people in the days and weeks ahead.
Frances Fitzgerald's comments come ahead of the Environment Minister holding of a forum in the capital tomorrow to deal with the crisis:
This morning, the Lord Mayor of Dublin called on the Taoiseach to attend a meeting he's organised to tackle homelessness in the capital.
Christy Burke has invited Enda Kenny, the Archbishop of Dublin - and homelessness campaigners including Focus Ireland, Simon Community and Fr. Peter McVerry to attend.
It follows the death of homeless man Jonathan Corry in a doorway opposite the Dail on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, the Cork Simon Community says the number of people sleeping rough on city streets has jumped over 500% in three years.
38 people were recorded in 2011, but so far the organisation has met 230 people sleeping on the street in 2014.
Child law practitioner Catherine Ghent spoke to Jonathan Healy today about the crisis and was asked if people are being given a chance: "I don't think they are. Sometimes the chance is being given but I think as the very sad case demonstrates, the problem with homelessness is an extremely complex problem."
