Shane Lowry is up three places to a career high 44th in the Golf World rankings following his 11th place finish at the Nedbank Challenge in South Africa.

The Offaly golfer entered the Top 50 for the first time at the end of last month after a Top 5 finish in Dubai.

Rory Mc Ilroy remains Number 1 with Graeme McDowell 15th.

Padraig Harrington is up 125 places to 260th after his win in Indonesia.

Sweden's Henrik Stenson and Australia's Adam Scott are second and third respectively.
