On her way home from school in October 2012, aged just 15-years-old, Malala Yousafzai was shot and wounded in Mingora, Pakistan.

She was flown to the United Kingdom for treatment, and not only did she survive, but she went on to become a powerful advocate for the education of young girls.

Her work in that field has not only seen her set up the Malala Fund as well as schools for girls to get access to education, but she also won the Nobel Peace prize along the way.

However, she's still like most other teenagers in that she has to sit her exams at her school in Brimingham, and after taking her GCSEs this year, she got her results this morning. Predictably, she did fantastically.

Her father Ziauddin took to Twitter to share her exam results with the world, saying that he was extremely proud of everything that his daughter had achieved.

Malala got six A*s and four As across 10 subjects, and while exam results aren't everything, it's probably safe to say that she's going to be great at whatever she chooses to do.
