A Cuban national has appeared in court in Clare charged in connection with an air rage incident that forced a transatlantic jet to divert to Shannon Airport yesterday.
Ronar Caballero-Gomez (37) has an address in the French city of Paris.
He faces four charges including being intoxicated and engaging in a threatening, abusive or insulting manner. He denies the charges.
The flight was travelling from Frankfurt in Germany to Cuba with 248 passengers and nine crew members on board when the pilot made the decision to divert to Shannon.
Mr. Gomez appeared before Ennis District Court, where Judge William Earley remanded him on bail to appear in court again tomorrow.
