A man (33) has been hospitalised following an attack on Usher's Quay yesterday morning.

The victim was beaten and robbed at a bus stop.

At around 10am yesterday morning, a group of men attacked the victim who was waiting for a bus on the quays.

They beat him and robbed his mobile phone.

He suffered facial injuries and lost a significant amount of blood at the scene.

He was taken to James's Hospital, where his injuries are described as serious but non-life threatening.

Gardaí from Kevin Street are investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
