Jim McCorry has been appointed as the new Down football manager.

The Armagh man led Kilcoo to the Down club title last year and succeeds James McCartan.

John Treanor and Michael Walsh will act as McCorry's selectors.

Fellow Armagh man, Tony McEntee, who was an early favourite for the manager's job, is believed to have turned down the position earlier this week.
