Newstalk has received 20 PPI Radio Awards nominations across 15 different categories.
In the News and Sports Programming Awards category, the Donegal Republic report from Moncrieff is up for best News Story, while the 'Ireland Decides 2015' coverage of the Marriage Referendum has been nominated for best News Programme. The Newstalk News Bulletin is also nominated.
The Pat Kenny Show also makes a showing in the category for Current Affairs Programme, and Off the Ball enjoys not one but two nominations in the best Sports Programme shortlist.
A number of familiar Newstalk presenters and reporters are nominated in the People Awards category, with Jonathan Healy, Sean Moncrieff, Kieran Cuddihy and Shona Murray all up for awards. And Off the Ball presenters dominate the Sports Broadcaster of the Year section, with Colm Parkinson, Joe Molloy and Ger Gilroy all making the shortlist.
Elsewhere, Newstalk's Futureproof with Jonathan McCrea has received an impressive three nominations, while Brendán Ó Beacháin's File Fiáin Fearúil is nominated for the Craoltóireacht le Gaeilge award. Finally, Newstalk drama Coma, Henry McKean's work on Moncrieff and indeed the Moncrieff show itself also make this year's shortlist.
