The Primary Care Minister says she is confident more than 90% of GPs will sign up to give free care to children under the age of six. after the number of registrations 'skyrocketed'.
Minister of State Kathleen Lynch also says the number of parents registering their children for the scheme is 'phenomenal' - with her staff saying registrations are clocking in at 10 every minute.
Latest figures from the HSE show 50,500 children have now registered, along with 78% of GPs.
She also says she accepts that not every doctor will accept the scheme - and that some areas will have less coverage than others.
Speaking to Newstalk Breakfast this morning, Kathleen Lynch says a mass boycott by GPs is not on the cards:

Last week a group of GPs from South Tipperary wrote an open letter to the Health Minister criticising the free care for under-sixes scheme.
The 39 GPs say they wish to provide free care to their patients under the age of six, but that the contract being offered by the HSE fails to provide them with the necessary support and protection.
