Brendan Ogle has revealed the next Right2Water National Day of Protest will be held on January 23rd.
The activist and trade unionist also revealed there will be several other events in the run-up to next year's general election.
Speaking on The Right Hook, Ogle said demonstrations across the country would be part of the organisation's campaign to make the debate around water charges the number one election issue.
Ogle says the issue is not solely about water charges or Irish Water, which are "a totem for society and structure of the economy that we're currently living in."
The economic recovery trumpeted by the Government, he says, is an "unequal recovery."
Right2Change is also focused on wider issues such as housing, healthcare and education.
Ogle claims the Government's housing policy is dependent on profit motive, which he says restricts supply, resulting in raised demand and higher prices
"We don't have a homelessness crisis; we have a homelessness policy," he says.
