The former Man United captain had been expected to leave for Celtic Park but this morning the Irish Independent revealed that Keane has decided to remain in his current position.
The Irish Independent say that Celtic made the 42-year-old a formal offer but that after considering his options, he decided to turn it down.
Last week, Ireland manager Martin O'Neill had admitted that Keane had been approached by Celtic, with mounting speculation that he would be appointed soon.
