Gardaí are seeking the public's help over a number of reports of alleged sexual assaults on women in the Shankill area of Dublin.

They happened during the hours of darkness - from 4.30pm to 10.00pm - since December last year.

In each case, a lone man approached a woman and an assault took place.

Gardaí in Shankill have set up an incident room to investigate.

A number of statements have been taken, and gardaí say numerous lines of enquiry are being conducted.

CCTV footage is also being examined, along with house-to-house enquiries.
