Legislation giving gay couples the chance to adopt children has been passed in the Seanad.
Opposition senators tabled over 100 amendments but the Children and Family Relationships Bill was passed by 20 votes to 2.
Ronan Mullen and Jim Walsh both voted against it.

The bill also overhauls Ireland's laws on sperm donation - and allows children conceived through donors to be legally linked to a second parent.
