You would be forgiven for thinking that most people make a New Year's resolution in January and then forget about it in February but a surprising amount of people kept their resolutions this year.

58% of people who made a new year's resolution in 2014 kept them, according to a new survey by Ipsos on behalf of Motivation Weight Management. 

The survey found that weight loss and being healthier was the number one resolution in 2014.

While almost half (49%) of people say they'll make a resolution for next year. 

Claire Jackson is a senior weight loss advisor with Motivation. She has this advice:

The New Year Festival continues in Dublin including a sold out countdown concert with Kodaline as the main act.
