On the show tonight, we have Irish independent's, Eamonn Sweeney, joins Tom to discuss the week in music, they will discuss the highlights from Electric Picnic to this week's must see gigs. Also, on the agenda is the news of U2's Innocence + Experience tour coming home later this year.
U2 last played these shores with their 360° Tour in 2009 at Croke Park. Now the band will return for four dates at Dublin's 3Arena in November and two dates at the SSE Arena in Belfast. Tickets for the shows go on sale tomorrow.
Also in the news is the aftermath of last weekends' Electric Picnic in Stradbally. Florence and the Machine, Blur, Underworld, and more headlined the three day festival, which received some mixed reviews.
In the second part of the show, Tom is joined by Robert Forster (The Go-Betweens) and Cathal Coughlan, who are in Dublin for two shows as part of ‘Blood & The Moon’ curation at the National Concert Hall on 13 & 14 September.
