The two young women, both aged 19, died when the car they were passengers in collided with a van near Athy on Tuesday night.

Yesterday, the funerals of two others killed in the crash - Chermaine Carroll (20) and Gemma Nolan (19) - took place.

All four had attended secondary school in St Leo's College in Carlow together.

Niamh's parents lit a candle at the start of the ceremony at the Holy Family Church in Askea.

Her father, Ber, spoke about a moment he imagined having with his daughter.
