A woman arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin has been released without charge.

The woman - who is in her mid-40s - was being questioned over the attack in which a 36-year-old Romanian man was killed in Phibsboro on Saturday night.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

The man, who was found to have stab wounds, was taken from the scene by ambulance to The Mater Hospital where he died despite efforts to save him.
