A woman in her 20s has died after being hit by a car in Co Kerry.
At around 7.15pm yesterday evening, the 26-year-old pedestrian was knocked down on the N22 at Glenflesk village.
She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The woman's body was removed to University Hospital Kerry, where a post mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate a Garda forensic examination, but has since reopened.
