A woman in California managed to evade a police chase on Sunday afternoon while driving a van painted to look like the Mystery Machine, the minivan driven around by members of the teenage sleuths in Scooby Doo.
According to reports, the parole officer of Sharon Kay Turman contacted officers of the Redding Police Department to inform them that the 51-year-old had violated the terms of her agreement. Police officers then tracked Turman’s movements, finding her driving the teal and green van.

Attempting to conduct a traffic stop, Turman sped away, at one point driving through an intersection, breaking a red light, and hitting four other vehicles.
Making her way onto the motorway, the California Highway Patrol helicopter joined in the hunt, with Turman driving through the city of Anderson at speeds of up to 100mph. The chopper pilot then observed her abandoning the vehicle.
Turman’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
