Former Ireland rugby player Neil Francis has apologised for comments made about homosexuality in sport on Off The Ball yesterday.
Speaking on Today FM this evening, Francis admitted that his comments had been 'clumsily made' and that when he listened back to the interview again he did not recognise the points that he was trying to make.
"On reflection I would like to withdraw those comments and apologize profusely and unreservedly," said Francis.
