A man in his 40s has been found dead in Dublin.

The body was found at a house on Auburn Street in Phibsborough this afternoon.

Gardaí are at the scene which has been preserved for a technical examination.

Investigators are examining "all the circumstances surrounding his death."

The State Pathologist has been notified and a postmortem is due to be carried out.

Gardaí said the results will determine the course of their investigation.
