A US man missing at sea for more than two months has been picked up by a passing ship and airlifted to land.
Louis Jordan apparently survived by catching fish with his hands and drinking rain water.
He was spotted drifting on his stricken sailboat - 'Angel' - 200 miles off the coast of North Carolina by a tanker.
He had been reported missing by his family on January 29th.
Coastguards say Mr Jordan's mast was broken in rough weather:
In a statement, the US Coast Guard reported that "a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew launched from Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina, at approximately 3:40 p.m.
"The helicopter crew met the Houston Express, hoisted the man and transported him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, arriving at approximately 7:30 p.m," the statement added.
