Almost €13,000 worth of goods has been stolen from a farm in Co Tipperary.
This is the sixth time the family farm in Barna has been targeted. A group of men cut the security fence into the farm.
A number of items were taken - including a car trailer, a quad, chainsaws, welding equipment and tools.
Clive Clarke lives on the property with his father and young family.
He says they also broke into the family's butchering business on the same night.
"They stole knives, money, they took meat - we're prisoners, we might as well be prisoners now at this stage", he told Newstalk Breakfast.
"The gardaí are excellent - but the laws are not in place to let the gardaí do their job properly", he added.
"It's gone to the stage now where they're wondering how we're going to help people who are under so much pressure that they're committing suicide - they need to address this situation", Mr Clarke said.
Gardaí in Roscrea are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
In particular, they are looking for any information on strange vehicles that may have been seen in the Dunkerrin area between 7.00pm last night and 7.00am.
They can be contacted on 050-5240-230 or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111.
Mr Clarke says licensed firearm holders are patrolling the countryside during the night, because they are in constant fear.
