The problem of trolls and harassment on Twitter has become a major issue for both users of the social network and the company itself. Now, Twitter has revealed its latest tool to help users deal with troublesome users.

In a blog post today, the company revealed that users can now share their 'block lists' with other users.

They explain that the lists can be shared with "people in your community facing similar issues or import another user’s list into your own account and block multiple accounts all at once, instead of blocking them individually."

Twitter has regularly pledged in recent times to deal with the issue of abuse on the popular social network. It follows a number of high profile users quitting the social network as a result of continual harassment.

In December, the company launched the 'blocked accounts' page, and introduced more robust tools for reporting abusive tweets.

Earlier this year, a leaked memo saw Twitter CEO Dick Costolo tell employees that "we suck at dealing with abuse and trolls on the platform and we've sucked at it for years. It's no secret and the rest of the world talks about it every day. We lose core user after core user by not addressing simple trolling issues that they face every day."
