Managing roles in the world of finance have come out on top in a new report predicting which jobs will be the most desirable to land in 2017.

This study comes from job search site Glassdoor - it is based on earning potential, job satisfaction, and the number of vacancies in the area.

Finance managers top the list in the UK - with median salaries of £68,000 (€79,000) and a healthy number of open posts.

In the US data scientists top the list with average income of $110,000 (€102,000) and a 4.4/5 job satisfaction rating.

The UK top ten is business heavy - with tax manager (2nd), audit manager (4th), HR manager (5th), supply chain manager (7th) all making the top ten.

Tech jobs also score highly in the job search site's report.
