Dublin's Salty Dog Pictures is set to team up with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios to produce a new ten part series.
The Californian studio is behind the cult-hit Robot Chicken and has produced animations for Fox, Lego, and the WWE.
The Irish company says that it needs to keep the details of the new series under wraps for now.
It has been able to reveal that it is creating 30 new positions spread across a number of areas including production, design, composition, and animation.
It is also launching a new training programme for artists in conjunction with Animation Skillsnet.
It was the first Irish company to use Toon Boom's Harmony animation software for a TV series - it will be using the suite for both this new project and its training courses.
The company was founded in 2013 by Clifford Parrott and Deirdre Barry.
This news comes weeks after Boulder Media, which is also based in Dublin, announced that it was expanding its office space and hiring more staff as its takes on new projects.
