Snapchat owners Snap Inc have announced that it will locate its main international office in London.
The company says that it chose to come to the UK despite the threat of Brexit disruption due to the strength of its creative industries and tech sector.
"We believe in the UK creative industries. The UK is where our advertising clients are, where more than 10 million daily Snapchatters are, and where we’ve already begun to hire talent," said Claire Valoti - the company's general manager in the UK.
Revenues from the UK and a number of other regions including France, Australia, Canada, and Saudi Arabia will be booked in the UK.
The LA based-firm behind the vanishing message app is expected to go public in 2017 with a valuation of up to $25bn.
Facebook and Google have both announced that they will expand their London offices since the EU membership referendum.
Snap Inc has made a successful move into the world of 'wearables.' Snapchat Spectacles with a built in camera were one of 2016's major tech hits.
The glasses allow you to record the world as you see it. They are yet to get a mass market release but have been made available for $130 from pop-up vending machines across the US.
