Tayto has ambitious expansion plans in Co Meath - it hopes to add a hotel to its theme park and zoo, Tayto Park.
The company has confirmed that it has applied to Meath County Council for Planning Permission for a 32,000 sq m, 250 bedroom family hotel.
It will offer accommodation and leisure facilities for up to 1,000 guests.
The seven-storey property will be built from wood, in keeping with the look and feel of Tayto Park, if the project goes ahead.
The crisp maker's plans include a spa, meeting rooms, and a function room which can accommodate up to 1,200 people.
It is also set to have two 'sky bars' and three restaurants.
If the facility gets the green light it is expected to create 272 full and part-time jobs when completed - and an additional 150 jobs during the construction phase.
Tayto Park is currently open for its seventh season it offers a mix of rides, including the world's largest rollercoaster and a zoo.
