Three has released a breakdown of app usage by its customers at last weekend's Guns n' Roses concert.

Snapchat was concertgoers’ favourite way to document their day - 19% of Three data used on site was servicing traffic from the app.

It was followed by Facebook which accounted for 18.5%.

Interestingly Instagram accounted for only 4% of the data used at Slane.

Twitter has been struggling of late - and these numbers suggest that this trend has continued in Ireland. Less than 2% of Three's data was used by the micro-blogging platform.

With lengthy queues and many punters arriving early to get as close the stage as possible, 7% of data was used on YouTube, with 2% on music streaming and a further 1.5% on Netflix.

Almost 90% used WhatsApp while on the site - which had a special Three mast to ensure that everyone could post, stream, and chat away.

Elaine Carey, Chief Commercial Officer at Three commented: "Three continues to carry more data than all other operators and, as Ireland’s only provider of All You Can Eat Data, Three prides itself in bringing its customers the biggest live experiences. We understand that the concertgoers love to capture every moment of these experiences on their smartphones and share them online, so we were delighted to provide Guns N’ Roses fans with an incredible data experience at Slane."
