100 new jobs are to be created at Aztec Money in Dublin. The company has announced its setting up its global headquarters at George's Quay in the city.
The jobs will come on stream in the next two years. It is also looking for graduates to take up intern roles at the firm.
The company helps small and medium businesses get better access to finance without having to go through their banks.
Its primary focus is to provide access to non-bank capital for export companies in developing or credit constrained markets with "high quality debtor counterparties via the Aztec Money platform".
It serves global markets including Africa, Asia and the Americas. This was the first of two jobs boosts for the city. Minister Richard Bruton will attend another company announcement on St. Stephen's Green this afternoon.
Vice-President of Business Development at Aztec is Colm Devine.
