100 new jobs are being created in County Wicklow.
Nypro Healthcare is expanding its medical device operation in Bray.
The company develops and makes complex inhalation and injectable drug delivery devices.
Over the last two years Nypro has created 160 new jobs while the announcement today will bring the firms overall workforce here to 460.
While globally it has over 17,000 employees at 41 locations in 14 countries.
High-end jobs
The firm has a presence in America, the Asia Pacific as well as Europe.
Its clients include 8 of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny made the announcement.
"Maintaining Ireland as an attractive location for investment is a priority for Government and is recognised by long established companies such as Nypro who have had a presence here since 1980" he said.
"I'm delighted that today’s announcement deepens the long standing relationship between Nypro and Ireland" he added.
Vice-President of the Drug Delivery and Diagnostics division of the company is James O'Gorman.
He says the expansion is a vote of confidence in Ireland.
