150 jobs are to be created with the establishment of a new manufacturing plant in Leixlip in Co. Kildare.
The jobs will be created by MGS who provides engineered manufacturing solutions to the plastics industry.
The company is to invest over US$12 million in the new manufacturing facility at the Hewlett-Packard Campus in Leixlip.
It will be rolled out over 3 years in an existing 45,000 square-foot building.
MGS says the Kildare facility will support its high-end customer base in Ireland where Hewlett-Packard is one of its main customers.
Minister welcomes announcement
The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
Making the announcement Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton said "Today's announcement that this leading international engineering and manufacturing company is locating a high-end facility in Ireland with the creation of 150 jobs is great news and a strong indication of the potential for jobs expansion in this area".
"I am determined that, with continued strong implementation of the Action Plan for Jobs we will see further announcements like this in the near future" he added.
It will also supply products for the European market
