270 new jobs have been announced for Limerick.
The positions are coming onstream through an €80 million investment by Ethicon Biosurgery Ireland.
The company is to establish a state of the art manufacturing facility at the National Technology Park in Plassey.
Recruitment is underway and the positions will be filled over the next five years.
An additional 150 construction jobs will also be created during the construction phase of the project.
The Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton, and the Finance Minister Michael Noonan were on hand for the announcement in Limerick this afternoon.
