70 new positions have been announced around the country today.

50 new jobs in nursing and social care are on the way for Dublin, Kildare, Laois and Offaly.

Nua Healthcare Services is to begin recruiting for the roles immediately.

The permanent positions are for nurses and Social Care Workers specific to residential Children’s Services.

Nua Healthcare provides specialised residential, respite and day services for individuals with autism and mental health issues.

20 new restaurant jobs

Meanwhile 20 new jobs are to be created in Dublin by restaurant group Diep.

The Diep franchise already operates 7 stores across Dublin.

It plans to open at least 4 new outlets in the coming year with a new store opening today in Templeogue.

They now employ over 120 full and part-time staff.

Director Matthew Farrell Senior says the investment has been a long-time coming.
