A planned strike of Aer Arann pilots next week has been suspended. Pilots were due to strike on Tuesday over demands to reverse previous pay cuts.
But the strike will now be suspended to allow members to vote on a negotiated settlement. Aer Arann negotiators are recommending that the proposals be accepted.
All flights across the 27 routes of the carrier will operate as scheduled.
A spokesperson from Aer Arann said "We are pleased to confirm to our customers that it is business as usual at the airline. The strike has been averted. All services will operate fully, across all routes, at all airports".
"We have commenced informing our customers by text, online, email and through the media that their flights will operate as scheduled. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers who are, and will always be, our number one priority" they added.
Strike action had been scheduled to take place on 20 to 21st of August and 24th to 25th of August.
Meanwhile a ballot by pilots at Aer Lingus for strike action to lend support to Aer Arann has also subsequently been suspended. The Aer Lingus Regional service is run by Aer Arann under a 10-year franchise agreement.
IMPACT spokesperson Bernard Harbour says progress is being made in talks.
