Tens of millions of active users of the Adobe software website have had their usernames and passwords compromised.

The company had originally said up to 2.9-million users' credit card details had been compromised as a result of the cyber attack which happened earlier this month.

The software developer has now said that the number of people affected is significantly more at 38-million.
