300 new jobs are on the way at discount retailer Dealz. The company says it plans to open 10 new shops across Ireland in the coming year, with a €4.5m investment.
Dealz will open a new flagship Dublin store in the Ilac Shopping Centre next month - its 35th shop in Ireland.
The store will have over 5,000sq ft of selling space.
It will also open other outlets in Wexford, Dundalk and a second store in Cork.
Senior business manager with Dealz, Leonard Brassel, outlined their plans for the next 12 months:
Dealz CEO Jim McCarthy said: "We are delighted to be celebrating our third year of trading in Ireland following the opening of our 34th Dealz store in Ireland last weekend in Wexford, not to mention the upcoming opening of our new flagship store in Dublin city centre in October."
"We are fully dedicated to the Irish market and our exciting expansion plans will continue to create new job opportunities for Irish workers," he added.
The company currently employs 1,000 people here, with up to a further 200 temporary Christmas jobs planned this year.
