Domino's Pizza is gearing up for increased demand over the summer and its boosting staff numbers significantly in preparation.
The pizza restaurant and delivery chain is set to create a total of 1,000 jobs on the island of Ireland - 600 in the Republic and 400 in the North.
While the company has cited both the Euro 2016 football tournament in France and the Rio Olympics in Brazil as key reasons why they expect a major rise in orders, the new positions will be permanent rather than just summer gigs.
Domino's is also planning to open 65 new stores in the UK and Ireland before the end of the year, and will be adding 10,000 staff members in total.
Chief executive David Wild revealed that they expect to "serve up over seven million pizzas during the Euros alone".
Domino's anticipates that 160 pizzas will be ordered every minute daily during Euro 2016 - that's almost three pizzas per second.
The pizza chain is currently the second-largest in the world, behind Pizza Hut. Its pre-tax profits increased 20% to €76m in 2015.
