The average cost of renting a home in Ireland now stands at more than €1,000 per month according to Daft.ie.
The property website has released its latest quarterly report, which has found the average rent is now €1,006.
This is the first time the average has gone over €1,000 since the tail-end of the Celtic Tiger in May 2008.
Dublin

The closest you can get is a semi-furnished house in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, for just north of a grand per month.
It includes a back garden - at the time of writing the ad has been live for an hour and a half and had been viewed 248 times.
The average rent in Dublin City center is now €1,581. As recently as 2012 the average rent in West Dublin was €900 - it's now more than €1,300.
Cork
Never to be outdone - rents in Cork are creeping up on the capital, and growing at a faster rate.
Rental inflation has gone up by 16% in just 12 months.
This property with two single bedrooms and one double in the middle of Cork city is listed for €950 on Daft.
It is fully furnished and located 5 minutes from the city center and UCC.
Galway
The tide is also rising out West, where rent in Galway city is up 12.7% year-on-year, to an average of €900.
There is more space to be found here - this semi-detached three bedroom house is on the market for €950 per month.
The location is described as a "quiet cul-de-sac" and it is on the west-side of the city, close to Sliver Strand.
Roscommon
The country's cheapest rental properties can be found in Roscommon.
For example, this detached property on the western edge on Athlone, an hour and a half's drive from Dublin, could be yours for €775 per month.
Or you could live in this three bedroom property on the grounds of Strokestown Park for €550 per month.
That's for two single bed rooms and a double - on an estate with its own woods and walled gardens.
Donegal
Prices in Donegal are also among the lowest in the country, the average is €496.
This house is €400 per month - again that's for three bedrooms.
It's located close to Killybegs, and the view isn't too shabby...
Kerry
This spacious bungalow in the south-west is €800 per month.
