Over 600 of Ireland’s top businesswomen gathered in Dublin Monday evening for the eighth annual Image Businesswoman of the Year Awards.

This year, Newstalk offered one lucky category winner a €10,000 media campaign for 2015. The lucky businesswoman, Cora Murphy (The Care Team) was selected by a Newstalk panel of experts. Her innovative approach in the healthcare space has seen her company, set up in 2013, grow from 2 to 75 people in just eighteen months.

Marian O’Gorman, CEO, The Kilkenny Group was named as the Overall 2014 IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year. Going against the grain, Marian expanded the company during the recession, opening 8 new stores between 2007 and 2013. Today, Kilkenny has 13 stores nationwide, a thriving online shop www.kilkennyshop.com and two in-store cafés. In both 2014 and 2013, Marian was named one of WXM’s Top 25 Most Influential Women.
