Over 130 new jobs have been announced today at three separate companies in Dublin and Galway.
The Zurich Insurance Group is opening two IT hubs in Dublin which will see more than 100 new hi-tech jobs being created. It has already started recruiting people to work in areas like change management, cyber analysts and disaster recovery specialists. The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
The two new IT hubs will provide services to the Zurich businesses globally and in Europe. One hub will support IT service management and the other will support Cyber Security Management.
Zurich currently employs over 1,000 people here with the European headquarters of the firm for general insurance located in Dublin along with its general insurance and life divisions servicing Irish and cross-border markets.
Separately the retailer Donnybrook Fair is opening a new outlet in Dublin city centre this May which will see the creation of 20 new jobs.
Software jobs for Galway
Meanwhile the sales management software company OnePageCRM has announced it is creating 12 new jobs at its headquarters in Galway.
The positions will be in engineering roles for web and mobile technology, digital marketing and customer support.
The new jobs came about thanks to a €575,000 investment programme supported by Enterprise Ireland and other investors.
