Irish people will buy around 115,000 pumpkins in one supermarket alone this Halloween.
Figures from Supervalu show that demand for pumpkins has increased, and the retailer expects the number of pumpkins sold this year to grow by 30% compared to 2013.
It says recent fine weather means we have a bumper crop this year.
The managing director of SuperValu, Martin Kelleher, said: "Demand continues to grow for this Halloween staple...SuperValu works with over 600 local Irish suppliers like Keelings."
While Oisin O'Gradaigh, pumpkin grower for Keelings, added: "We are pleased to partner with SuperValu again this year to bring our pumpkin harvest to people all over the country."
"It was another good season with an excellent skin finish on our crop," he added.
